Covering the areas of Angelus Oaks, Seven Oaks, and Barton Flats, the AOFSC's mission is to reduce our collective risk of wildfire through individual education and action. In this work, we rely on our neighbors and partner with community and government organizations.

The AOFSC promotes activities like:

Education: Educating residents on wildfire preparedness, including creating defensible space around homes.

Community Action: Encouraging residents to work together to implement fire safety measures.

Partnerships: Collaborating with local fire agencies and other organizations to implement projects that enhance wildfire survivability.

The AOFSC works towards establishing the Angelus Oaks community as a Firewise USA community, which recognizes communities that take proactive steps to mitigate wildfire risks.

Defensible Space:
A key aspect of their work is promoting the creation of defensible space around homes, which involves clearing vegetation and creating a buffer zone to slow down or stop the spread of fire.

Community Wildfire Protection Plan (CWPP):
The AOFSC may be involved in developing or updating a CWPP, which is a community-driven plan to reduce wildfire risks and enhance preparedness.
